Aygen has 20 years of energy and infrastructure finance experience in emerging markets covering Central and Eastern Europe, former Soviet Union, and Turkey. He has particular expertise in public and private financing of power generation, transmission, and distribution projects, privatizations of energy and infrastructure assets, advisory on energy sector restructuring, transport and municipal infrastructure concessions, oil and gas downstream projects and renewable energy transactions. Prior to establishing Crescent, Aygen spent nine years at EBRD’s headquarters in London and six years in the target region, first heading EBRD’s country offices in the Balkans and the Caucasus, then at IFC’s regional infrastructure team based in Istanbul.

Fabrizio is a senior investment and project finance professional with more than 25 years of experience in the field of energy finance. After leading advisory and project finance arranging mandates with Crédit Lyonnais for major oil and gas transactions in the Americas, Africa, and the Middle East, Fabrizio joined the Power and Energy Utilities Team of EBRD in London, with a particular focus on Poland, Romania, Russia, and Ukraine. Subsequently he joined Dexia, the European banking group specialized in public and infrastructure finance, as Global Head of Energy, and led it to become one of the leading institutions worldwide for the financing of renewable energies.

Gökhan is a senior business development and project finance professional with 20 years of experience. Specialised in construction and infrastructure projects in Turkey and Central Asia. He was the Business Development Director of ARC, an international investment firm active in Central Asia, managing its key relationships with local and international business counterparts and financial institutions. Previously, Gökhan was a Vice President for project finance at Garanti, a leading Turkish bank, working on a variety of public and private sector projects. He also served as a VP at Ottoman Bank in London, responsible for relations with financial institutions. Gökhan helped establish a local bank, beverages company, construction firm, and a leasing company in his previous roles.

Before Turkcell, she was one of the first partners of Pekin & Pekin, a major law firm specialising in banking and corporate finance. Elif has extensive experience in corporate governance matters and currently acts as a non-executive board member in various companies.

Rich is a senior private equity fund manager with 15 years’ experience in the field of energy investments. After spending 6 years trading various financial instruments, commodities, and derivatives, Rich joined a leading US clean energy private equity fund where he took over European operations with a focus on Central and Eastern Europe. Rich led clean energy transactions in various emerging markets including Poland, Hungary, Ukraine, Armenia, Thailand, Philippines, and India. He has extensive experience in almost all types of clean energy projects ranging from detailed due diligence through deal execution, construction management, and operations.

Akif then joined Enerjisa, the largest private electricity utility in Turkey and surrounding regions (a joint venture of Sabancı and Verbund). He worked on valuation, financial due diligence, and loan structuring of various electricity generation and distribution assets.
